hello friends! here is a micro, plastic poem for you.
welcome to the plasticene plastic teeth and plastic dreams winters on the plastic beach summers with the plastic trees evergreens and plastic doom the motherboard is plastic too her microdaughter never soothed chewing on her plastic food plastic-eating fungal world twirling in the garbage whorl feeding on our plastic toil uncoiling eons of this boil that simmers in the blood of man and men did all that he can to rape this life unto us born (and from which our future torn) by hurricanes of plastic homes plastic tomes and plastic phones by tornadoes of plastic bones blown away with plastic foam into the plastic rising sea her siren calling luring me return and be everlasting free goodbye to all this plasticene
I’m huffing microplastics over here and feeling quite fine, thank you. all hail our shimmering, life-shattering, decade-spanning, microplastic blood!
there is a lot to be doom and gloom about certainly, but shit, what can ya do? make art with the time you’re here, I say, as the rich keep richin’ and the poor keep poorin’.
poetry helps me cope with the news, and I hope it helps you, too.
thanks for reading!

note: keen readers may notice I changed plasti-scene and plastiscene from the images to ‘plasticene’; I like the original play on words of plasti-scene, but decided on changing to the name that many are calling our current decade; i.e., we are no longer the Anthropocene, but instead the age of plastics.
I really like this .. reminds me of a report I did in my youth on plastic use .. I love connecting to you!!! 🖤
