likely taken when my Papa was
stationed at Pearl Harbor, long

removed from wartime tragedy.
He spoke highly of his time in the

Navy, and no doubt visited 
Punchbowl to pay

respects to his fallen brothers.
C258: unknown, immortal,

dead. then buried, then numbered,
then layers on layers of emulsion,

then scanned, then printed.
My Papa wasn't buried. …
